Well unfortunately at the end of the day there are only two things you can do to enemys outside of combat. Trying to remember if the spin jump was in here or not though.

    How do you mean " do anything"? The different accessories prevent certain types of status effects, they raise different stats, things like that. The weapons and armor usually only affect your attack and defense, but some armors will raise your attack/magic attack in addition. Wed 18th Jun you can equip different weapons (they all look uniquely different in battle when you equip them), armor, and accessories.
